Man dead after drive-by shooting in Austin

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE: A man died in a drive-by shooting Thursday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Police say the 23-year-old was walking along North Lamon Avenue when a dark-colored SUV drove up. Someone inside opened fire.

The man was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He did not survive his injuries.

So far, no suspects are in custody. Police continue their investigation.
