Reality stars-turned-restauranteurs, Guliana and Bill Rancic, have welcomed their first child, Edward Luke, into the world via surrogate Wednesday night.
Bill tweeted out, "The 'Duke' has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4oz."
Labor in the Denver hospital lasted four hours and the Rancics were in the delivery room the entire time when when Duke was born at 10:12 p.m. Bill cut the cord and Guliana was the first to hold the newborn.
The couple has been very open with their struggles with infertility both on their Style Network show "Guliana & Bill" and on various talk shows.
Guliana Rancic was seeing a doctor in Denver for fertility issues when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010.
Both have made reference to the baby saving Guliana's life, as the medical checks she underwent as part of her IVF lead to her early diagnosis of the cancer.
