CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Former White House Chief of Staff John Sununu spoke to the Illinois GOP delegation at Thursday's breakfast for the Republican National Convention.

Former New Hampshire Governor Sununu, a very, very aggressive surrogate and spokesman for the Romney campaign, addressed the delegation just before 9:15 Thursday morning.

He poked some fun at President Obama and threw some insults out at his administration.

Sununu joked for a bit about how Mitt Romney is trying to give a boost to Chicago's real estate market by getting rid of President Obama.

"The folks from Chicago ought to got into the real estate business, because there's a guy with a lot of friends with money who's coming back to look for a house next January," Sununu said. "Imagine satisfying it will be for you folks, waking up on Wednesday after Election Day and hear people say, ‘Did you see what happened in Illinois?!'"

While Sununu was spinning those fantasies for Republicans, despite a Crain's Chicago Business' voter opinion survey that showed the president with a 27-point lead currently in Illinois.
