8/30: Manager of Sports & Leagues

The Manager of Sports & Leagues is responsible for the planning, management and execution of growth strategies for all aspects of children's sports classes, sports leagues, and sports summer camp at the Bernard Horwich JCC and the Mayer Kaplan JCC. This position plays a key role as a member of the Children's Family, and Wellness staff helping to support the vision, goals and strategy of the department's impact goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Physical Education or related field with 2-4 years supervisory experience. Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of sports and ability to instruct kids (ie: basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, NFL flag football, softball). Must have previous experience successfully developing and maintaining sports and recreation programs targeted to children ages 3-16, budget development and compliance, and leadership experience in a camp environment.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with parents, community members and agency staff, display proficiency in Word, Excel with the ability to learn other technology as needed and provide the highest level of customer service to a varied audience (ie: children, parents, older adults). Candidates should, ideally, have a familiarity and comfort level in working with the Orthodox Jewish community.
