Republican National Convention: What to expect

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The convention officially kicked off on Monday, but the excitement will really get really on Tuesday.

Ann Romney will be the star of the show, delivering a speech in prime time. You should expect her to talk about Mitt Romney's character, as a successful businessman and former governor and also on a personal level; as a father and husband.

Ann Romney has been described as a huge asset to her husband's campaign, so her speech on Tuesday is the one to watch.

On Wednesday, it's Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan. Monday, he was in his hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin, delivering a preview of that speech. He talked not only about his personal biography, but also his vision for America.

Thursday it's the man at the top of the ticket. Mitt Romney will have what will certainly be one of the most important speeches of his life.

Monday, Romney and his wife were practicing their convention speeches at a high school auditorium in New Hampshire.

Romney says: "I like my speech. I really like Ann's speech. Our sons are already in Tampa and they say it's terrific there, a lot of great friends. And we're looking forward to a great convention"

So on Tuesday night, Tampa will be the center of the political world.
