5 shot in South Chicago neighborhood, including 3 teens

CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE: Five people - including three teenagers - were shot on the South Side Monday night.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. near 83rd and Muskegon in the South Chicago neighborhood.

Two men, ages 21 and 22, and a 15-year-old boy were standing on the sidewalk when a group of three men walked up and opened fire.

The 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg, and is in good condition at South Shore Hospital. The 21-year-old was shot in the abdomen and leg, and is in stable condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The 22-year-old was shot in the leg and suffered a graze to his ankle. He's in good condition at Advocate Trinity Hospital.

Two girls, ages 14 and 17, were sitting on a nearby porch. The girls were grazed on the leg and arm respectively, but they refused treatment. They are in good condition.

Area South police do not have anyone in custody yet, but continue their investigation.
