CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Mayor Rahm Emanuel will speak at the Democratic National Convention in September.

The convention's organizers did not announce a date or a time that the mayor will speak, and aides for Emanuel said those details have not been set yet.

The convention will be held Sept. 4-6 in Charlotte, North Carolina. That's when President Obama will accept the presidential nomination.

First Lady Michelle Obama will also be one of the convention's speakers.

Other speakers include former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley and former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland.

The group will join previously announced speakers that include former President Bill Clinton, Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, who will be the first Latino keynote speaker at a Democratic convention.

The Associated Press contributes to this report.
