A taxi hit a pedestrian in the Loop Thursday morning.
The person, whose age and sex were not immediately available, was hit about 8:15 a.m. in the 100 block of North Wacker Drive, according to police and fire officials.
Paramedics took the person to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious but "stable" condition, said Fire Media Affairs Cmdr. Will Knight, who added that the person's injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.
