'Active shooter' taken into custody after Code Maroon issued at Texas A&M Univ.

HOUSTON (FOX Houston News) -
Police in College Station have taken an "active shooter" into custody after a Code Maroon emergency alert was issued Monday afternoon near the campus.
Multiple people, including at least two law enforcement officers, were shot.
The shooter was detained on Fidelity Street southeast of the Texas A&M Student Recreation Center, a spokeswoman with the College Station Police Department has confirmed. She says police have not determined if there is a second suspect in the shooting.
In the Code Maroon alert issued at 12:44 p.m. Monday, people were encouraged to avoid the area near the intersection of Fidelity Street and Wellborn Road.
