ROMEOVILLE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A southwest suburban cargo thief has become a cereal criminal.

Between July 26 and the afternoon of July 30, a semi-trailer was stolen from National Trailer Repair at 110 Anton Dr. in Romeoville, the Herald-News is reporting.

"The trailer, which is valued at about $14,000, contained a $24,000 load of Frosted Flakes," Assistant Police Chief Steve Lucchesi said.

Lucchesi said police had no information on the suspect, or whereabouts of the trailer or its contents as of late Thursday afternoon.
