CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Even a star needs to burp from time to time.

Captured in a photo by NASA's Hubble Telescope, the giant red star known as U Camelopardalis (U Cam) is shown burping or coughing out a perfect bubble shaped sphere of gas. U Cam is a dying star located 1,500 light years from Earth.

Scientists believe it burps gas like this about once every thousand years. The burp is triggered as the star becomes more unstable from the lack of fuel.
