CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

The CTA Blue Line Forest Park branch is experiencing delays Tuesday morning after an overnight equipment derailment.

The derailment happened about 3:35 a.m. between the Forest Park and Harlem stations during track maintenance, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski. No one was injured.

Blue Line trains are operation on a single track between the two stations, Hosinski said. A bus substitution will also be in effect until CTA crews are able to clear the tracks.

It was unclear how long it will take to restore normal service, according to the CTA website, which recommended customers allow for extra travel time.
