When Briggs needed a couple of games off in 2010, who was there? Lovie loves Roach as his starting strong side linebacker. The former Northwestern star has really done a nice job finding a home with this organization.
Tom's Take – Nick has been inconsistent. There have been flashes of excellent play, and moments when he gets overwhelmed at the point of attack. He benefits from playing alongside Urlacher and Briggs, but must continue to improve if this defense is going to be a top 10 unit
Dionne's View – Doesn't make a lot of mistakes and plays hard in the shadows of two LB's destined for the HOF. His experience and ability to fill the middle is key- especially if Urlacher happens to miss any time.
