Kellen Davis #87 Tight End

DOB: 10/11/85

6'7", 267 lbs.

5th Season/ Michigan State.

Bio - Davis enters his fifth season with the Bears having played in all 64 NFL games in his first four seasons, with twenty starts under his belt as well. In his fourth season, he set career highs with 18 receptions, 206 receiving yards, and five touchdown catches. Against Kansas City in Week 13, he had a career-high 40 receiving yards. Davis also racked up ten special teams tackles and returned one kickoff for thirteen yards. He had success in his two postseason appearances with two receptions for 42 yards and one touchdown. As a tight end with the ability to catch passes, Davis figures to see an increased role in the Bears' offense this season.

Lou CanellisLou's Call – Lovie says this guy is one of the most talented tight ends in football, this year we'll find out. When Mike Tice was head coach in Minnesota, his tight ends led the team in receptions twice and that was with Randy Moss and Chris Carter on the team. At 6-7, Davis is a huge red zone target and how about this stat…in 3 seasons he's had 28 catches and 9 were for TD's! Brandon Marshall will get most of those TD opportunities but Davis will be used enough to justify the new $8 million dollar contract he got this offseason.

Tom WaddleTom's Take – Davis is a huge target and last year showed a knack for finding the endzone. He's not a dynamic tight end in the mold of Rob Gronkowski or Jimmy Graham, but he can work the middle of the field and be a serious threat in the end zone.

Dionne MillerDionne's View – Mike Tice likes to utilize the tight end. That's obviously good news for Davis. And he hasn't missed a game in 4 seasons. Perfect attendance is always appreciated when you can catch the ball!
