According FOX 5 Storm meteorologist Jeff Hill, showers and occasional thunderstorms will be scattered around the metro area in the afternoon. Hill says it appears that the greatest threat for storms will be from Macon to east of Athens. The storms could pack strong winds.
Hill says the storms will linger into the early evening south of Atlanta before pushing out of the region.
