CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Governor Pat Quinn is kicking off the new push to get fresh food into low-income neighborhood grocery stores.

The Illinois Fresh Food Fund is a public-private partnership.

The goal is to get fresh foods into so-called "food deserts."

The state is using $10 million from the Illinois Jobs Now capital program to help fund the program.
