CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are looking for the driver of an SUV that hit a bicyclist last Saturday in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

A bicyclist was riding westbound in the 400 block of West Webster Street July 21 when they were hit by a silver Toyota Highlander, according to a police alert. The SUV fled the scene.

Witnesses to the collision were busy helping the biker and could not catch the SUV's license plate number, the alert said. The Highlander may be damaged on its front passenger side and is missing the passenger side fog lamp cover.

If anyone has information about this SUV or its driver, please call the Chicago Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Unit at (312) 745-4521.
