Two masked men invaded an Atlanta apartment and tied up a 26-year-old man at gunpoint on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at the Renaissance Walk Community on Auburn Avenue, located just a blocks from Georgia State's campus. Earlier this week, a man was shot and killed in the same area.
The burglary victim, a music producer and rapper, said the men tied up his hands and feet before searching the apartment for electronics. The victim said he thought he was going to die, but believes he was spared because he cooperated with the robbers.
The victim said he was tied up for about 40 minutes. He said he plans to move.
Two Georgia State graduates also said they were moving out of the apartments on Friday. Residents of the apartment complex complained that there was no concierge to screen people coming into the building.
The apartment complex issued a note to residents asking them to be more vigilant.
Atlanta police are trying to determine whether surveillance video from the apartment complex parking garage could be helpful in solving the case.
