7/26: Quality Assurance Manager

You need to be a hands-on QA Manager who will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the BigMachines Quality Assurance program and managing the QA team. You will be required to participate in extensive communication between build engineers, developers, QA and development management.You will be responsible for building and maintaining QA standards and coordinate overall quality assurance, with an emphasis on QA automation. You will be working with other experienced QA engineers to design, create, document, implement and maintain test scripts and the test framework. You should be self-directed, team and process oriented. You will have the opportunity to work with a smart, talented team of developers and quality assurance engineers on the BigMachines application, using the latest web technologies.

Please Note: Aptitude testing is required for all positions.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Directly supervising quality assurance team including the preparation and delivery of performance evaluations and career development activities.

Providing necessary definition, development and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.

Responsible for creating QA plans and orchestrating the final delivery of software releases.

Establishing and maintaining policies for documentation of all test plans, test cases and QA strategies and processes.

Working with development team to develop test plans, test cases and QA strategies.

Participating in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing.

Adhering to all BigMachines security policies, standards and procedures in the performance of job duties

Participating in security training provided by BigMachines

Reporting any potential security weakness, exposure or suspicious indications to manager

Skills/Requirements

A Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related software engineering discipline, or equivalent

Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in handling teams and being in lead positions

At least 5+ years experience in software quality assurance, both black and white box

Experience using QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution

Experience testing web applications and using QA automation tools

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Ability to work constructively with developers, QA, Systems and Project managers towards a common goal

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

Ability to motivate team members.

Preferred:

Experience with Unix/ shell scripting a big plus

Knowledge of Relational Database and SQL queries

Experience with Java application development

Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum

Experience with scripting languages and tools such as PERL

Experience with Unit Testing Automation frameworks, such as Junit, HTTPUnit, etc

Experience with XML
