Help FOX Chicago and the Chicago Bears fight hunger

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

FOX Chicago is proud to support the efforts to fight hunger in our community. So we've teamed up with the Chicago Bears this year to collect non-perishable food donations on behalf of the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Bring a donation and leave it in one of the food barrels located near the entrances when you head to Bourbonnais to watch the Bears.

More than 1.2 million people in our community face hunger. Two local organizations are working to ensure that these hungry neighbors have food in their time of need.

In Cook County, the Greater Chicago Food Depository partners with 650 pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to provide food to 142,000 people each week. To learn more, visit

In the 13 counties outside of Cook County, from Kankakee County to Lake County and west to Rockford, Northern Illinois Food Bank provides food to more than 60,000 hungry neighbors each week through a network of more than 600 food pantries, soup kitchens, youth and senior centers, and other feeding programs.
