Some Evangelical Protestants at Wheaton College oppose birth control coverage

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Catholics are not the only ones fighting the White House over new birth control rules.

Suburban Wheaton College joins the lawsuit against the federal mandate to provide health insurance that pays for contraceptives.

Evangelical Protestants, like those at Wheaton College, don't oppose contraception. But they argue that the morning-after pill is abortion, which they do oppose.

About 50 religious institutions are parties to the lawsuit filed by the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.
