SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

A local rock musician was singing the blues after the neck of his beloved Les Paul guitar was broken.

The lead guitarist from the band Sponge got off a plane after playing a gig and his guitar was ruined.  He was getting nowhere.  The airline said it was his fault, but when Problem Solver Rob Wolchek recreated the event that led to the guitar getting wrecked and flew to their headquarters, the airline changed its tune.

Kyle from Sponge has his guitar back, the public relations guy from the airline is a hero and Wolchek got to play his guitar onstage with the band Friday night at Rockin' on the Riverfront.
