CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Bond was set at $1 million Tuesday for a 25-year-old southwest suburban man charged with aggravated DUI for a Sunday morning crash that killed a 51-year-old Lockport woman.

Matthew Senica, of 13711 S. 88th Ave. in Orland Park, appeared at the Bridgeview courthouse one day after being charged in connection with the two-vehicle crash that killed Heidi Roseen, an ICU nurse who police said was driving to work at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn when she was killed.

At least seven of Roseen's family members showed up in court Tuesday morning, and a family member said they were pleased with the amount of the bond, the SouthtownStar is reporting

Senica has a long history of being in trouble with the law, including a drunken-driving charge in 2009, police said. He has been charged with at least six crimes, ranging from reckless conduct to battery, in the past six years, police said.

The list includes:

— A drunken-driving charge in Palos Heights on April 30, 2009.

— Domestic battery in Orland Park on April 1, 2011.

— Domestic battery at his home on Jan. 9, 2009.

— Battery that caused bodily harm in Orland Park on Sept. 15, 2008.

— Criminal damage to property in 2007.

— Reckless conduct in 2006.

Senica is due back in court July 23.
