Teen boy shot in Pullman neighborhood

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE: A teenage boy was shot in the chest in the Pullman neighborhood Monday evening on the Far South Side.

The 16-year-old boy was shot about 5 p.m. in the 12400 block of South Perry Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala, citing preliminary information.

He was taken in "stable" condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.

Area South detectives are investigating the attack as a possible drive-by shooting.
