CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE: A teenage boy was shot in the leg Monday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.
The 17-year-old was shot in the right leg just before 3 p.m. in the 2400 block of East 75th Street, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said, citing preliminary information.
Paramedics took him to South Shore Hospital in good condition, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said.
Police said the teen heard shots, then felt pain.
Area Central detectives are investigating, but police said the victim was not cooperating.
