Two injured in Lombard fire

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two people were injured Sunday afternoon during a fire at a residential building in west suburban Lombard.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire at a three-story building at 21 W. Ash St., according to a Lombard Fire Dept. release.

The fire was contained to one unit on the second floor, the release said. Estimated damage was $50,000.

Two residents were taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with injuries sustained during the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
