Search for Grand Crossing robbery suspects

Several suspects are being sought for robbing people walking in the South Side Grand Crossing neighborhood over the last couple of weeks.

A group of 3-6 people confront victims and rob them by force, according to an alert from Area Central detectives.

The robberies occurred just before noon Sunday in the 1300block of East 75th Street, and about 7:30 a.m. on June 20 in the 7400 block of South Stony Island Avenue.

The suspects are described as black and between 20 and 25 years old, the alert said.

During one robbery, one suspect was described as a black man with a dark brown complexion, 6 feet to 6-foot-2, 170-180 pounds with dreadlocks.

The second suspect was a black woman with a dark brown complexion, 20-25, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, 130-140 pounds with her hair in a ponytail.
