City Hall goes after businesses that 'breed crime'

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago officials plan to unveil a list of 37 businesses that they said are a magnet for crime.

Those businesses announced Monday include liquor, gas, convenience stores and fast food restaurants all around the city.

Some are losing their business licenses or have been temporarily shut down for repeatedly failing to correct code violations. Other businesses have been fined.

City Hall said they are trying to shame the owners by publicizing their names, alleged violations and complaints about the businesses.
