CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Construction workers have completed off a difficult mission in a tough spot - the top of the Willis Tower.

They removed an old TV antenna, which has been idle for more than a year.

The antenna is 30 ft. tall and weighs 4,000 lbs. It was lowered to the ground by helicopter.

Some of the men who took it down Sunday were the ones who installed it 30 years ago.

A new antenna will be installed in the coming weeks.
