Our record breaking and dangerous heat wave has ended.
A strong lake breeze developed Saturday bringing relief to much of the area.
A reinforcing shot of cooler and dry air comes from a weak cold front that passes over the area Sunday morning, turning winds off the lake and cooling us off through next week.
Highs will be in the low and mid 80s until Friday when the 90s return.
There is also a high risk of rip currents along all of the Lake Michigan beaches and a small craft advisory for near shore. Waves will be 4-5' with winds out of the NE at 15-25 mph.
SUNDAY: Partly to mostly sunny, cooler and less humid with highs near 83 and lows near 63.
