July 8: Cooler with less humidity Sunday

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Our record breaking and dangerous heat wave has ended.

A strong lake breeze developed Saturday bringing relief to much of the area.

A reinforcing shot of cooler and dry air comes from a weak cold front that passes over the area Sunday morning, turning winds off the lake and cooling us off through next week.

Highs will be in the low and mid 80s until Friday when the 90s return.

There is also a high risk of rip currents along all of the Lake Michigan beaches and a small craft advisory for near shore. Waves will be 4-5' with winds out of the NE at 15-25 mph.

SUNDAY: Partly to mostly sunny, cooler and less humid with highs near 83 and lows near 63.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 85 and lows near 64.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny with highs near 82 and lows near 61.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 85 and lows near 64.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 88 and lows near 66.

FRIDAY: Partly sunny and warm with highs near 90 and lows near 70.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny, warmer and more humid with highs near 92 and lows near 72.
