Verdell Parker, 21, of Chicago, is charged with beating up a 17-year-old lifeguard at a pool on the Near West Side on Thursday.
Police said that Parker was with a bunch of other unruly young men who were repeatedly asked to leave the Fosco Park pool.
When they finally did, they set upon the victim and tried to shove him into the pool. Parker is accused of punching the victim, who was left with a broken nose and cuts all over his face. Two of his teeth might fall out.
A pool supervisor dragged the victim into the office and locked the door.
Parker was arrested a few hours later.
He is accused of felony aggravated battery to a government employee and violating his probation.
