CHICAGO (Associated Press) -
A Montana man is charged with sexually soliciting two boys in Chicago.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports 56-year-old Robert John Parelius was arrested Thursday and made an initial appearance in Justice Court Friday on a charge of sexual abuse of children. Bail was set at $50,000.
Court records say police in Chicago police contacted Bozeman police for help locating Parelius, who they believed had been soliciting the boys, ages 13 and 15.
Prosecutors say Parelius confessed to having a "sick hobby" of calling the boys' families and leaving lewd and profane messages. He said he saw the boys playing football in the park in Chicago and researched them.
Officers found pictures of nude children in Parelius' residence along with junior football rosters from the Bozeman, Belgrade and Chicago areas.
