CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
President Obama will not be the grand marshal at the Bud Billiken parade this summer.
The White House said on Wednesday that the President can't fit it into his schedule, but that he supports the parade and its broader mission: "placing a priority on education, supporting our children, and making sure they have the skills they need to achieve their goals."
Organizers said they had been working on the logistics -- including security for the president -- for months.
In 2007, the then-presidential candidate rode in the parade in a convertible along with his wife, Michelle.
