
JOURNEYS | The Road Home (formerly Journeys from PADS to HOPE), a social service agency that aids the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless, is seeking a full-charge Event and Marketing Coordinator who will be responsible for the marketing, planning, and logistics for fundraising events; creating event and agency marketing materials; managing social media and campaigns; and presenting JOURNEYS to the community. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working within the northwest suburban area in non-profit fundraising.
The salary for this position is based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefit package. This is a full-time position, and some evening and weekend hours are expected.

Eligible candidates will be tested on their knowledge in a mock fundraising event exercise. Only those who have the following minimum qualifications will be considered:
Minimum Qualifications:
o Degree or certificate in marketing, public relations, event planning, or related field
o Minimum of five years full-charge event planning experience
o Advanced writing and layout/design skills
o Experience managing social media such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.
o Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies
o Previous experience working in non-profit agencies and non-profit fundraising preferred
o Highly detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
o Ability to work effectively with others
