CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A teenage boy and girl in a car robbed a pedestrian at gunpoint last week in the South Side Canaryville neighborhood.

A black car driven by a 17-year-old girl pulled up to a pedestrian about 7:20 a.m. on June 18 in the 4400 block of South Wabash Avenue, according to an alert from Area Central detectives.

A man with dreadlocks, about 17-20, in the passenger seat pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the victim and demanded money, according to the alert.

Both suspects were black and possibly driving a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with a broken passenger-side mirror, which was hanging off, the alert said. The car also had faded temporary plates.

Anyone with information should contact detectives at (312) 747-8382.
