Wednesday we begin an extended heat wave that could last more than a week.
High pressure will drift to our southeast and pump heat and humidity into the area with highs Wednesday in the triple digits by Thursday and back to the 90s for Friday through the weekend.
Isolated storms are possible Thursday night, Friday and over the weekend, but for the most part we will be dry.
The drought conditions will continue to worsen over the area during the next two weeks. You can check out the heat safety tips and Heat Stroke Symptoms on our heat wave survival guide.
