A young man wanted for attempted murder tried to hide his identity from police, but then his fingers did the talking.
Police questioned the 20-year-old during a traffic stop in Pontiac and he gave a fake name. Sheriff's deputies didn't buy his story because he didn't have identification. So they enlisted the help of a Blue Check -- a device that scans fingerprints.
The hi-tech gadget scanned the man's fingerprint and revealed his real name -- Deonte Stephen Williams, a 20-year-old with an outstanding warrant.
Oakland Co. Sheriff Mike Bouchard says police also found a handgun stolen from the Flint-area and a 30-round extended magazine.
