ST. CHARLES, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
An Aurora woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend during a domestic argument was found not guilty Monday afternoon.
Faith Martin, 26, who testified in her trial Monday, was found not guilty by Judge Timothy Sheldon in the slaying of Willie Arrington on Nov. 21, 2010, in the Aurora apartment they shared.
Aurora police said Martin stabbed Arrington in the chest during an argument.
Martin's defense attorney argued Martin acted in self-defense — and Sheldon agreed.
"This is the best case of self-defense this court has ever witnessed," the judge said.
