Police warn residents of Lincoln Park burglaries

Police are warning residents of a recent spree of burglaries in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

The burglar entered the residence through an unlocked backdoor or window and steals items from the home, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

The burglaries happen in the late evening and early morning hours the victims are away, police said.

The robberies happened between 8:30 p.m. June 15 and 2:30 am. June 17 in the 2200 block of North Janssen Avenue, about 11 p.m. June 18 in the 2200 block of North Janssen Avenue and between 7:55 p.m. June 21 and 12:05 a.m. June 22 in the 2100 block of North Dayton Street.

A description of the burglar is not immediately available.
