Police are warning Lincoln Park residents about an armed robber that has held up people at gunpoint on two recent occasions.
In each robbery, the man approaches a person armed with a handgun, announces a robbery and takes the victim's property before running away, according to an alert issued by Area Central detectives.
The first robbery happened June 9 in the 2000 block of North Burling Street about 12:30 a.m., the alert said. A second robbery happened Wednesday about 7 p.m. in the 500 block of West Eugenie Street
The suspect is described as a black man with a medium to dark complexion, approximately 18 to 25 years old, standing between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-2, and weighing 150- to 160-pounds.
