Lincoln Park's White Elephant forced to close after 93 years

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A Lincoln Park landmark is going out of business. The White Elephant shop has operated for 93 years.

Children's Memorial Hospital allowed the shop to operate without paying rent or property taxes because they donated all their proceeds to the hospital.

But with the hospital moving, the shop can't stay afloat. They plan to return each April as a pop-up shop.
