An alleged gang member was arrested on drug charges Tuesday after police executed a search warrant at his west suburban Forest Park home.
Julian B. Dailey, 37, of the 1000 block of Des Plaines in Forest Park, was charged with manufacturing and delivery of 15 to 100 grams of heroin, possession of 15 to 100 grams of heroin, manufacturing and delivery of one to 15 grams of cocaine and possession of one to 15 grams of cocaine, according to a release from the West Suburban Enhanced Drug / Gang Enforcement, a police task force operating in 11 western suburbs.
Forest Park police and the WEDGE task force executed a narcotics search warrant Tuesday at Dailey's home and found 86 grams of heroin, 13 grams of cocaine and more than $5,000 in U.S. currency, the release said.
Police also found drug paraphernalia and tools for processing, preparing and cutting heroin and cocaine, the release said.
The warrant was based on a WEDGE narcotics investigation that began in March, the release said.
Dailey, a member of the Conservative Vice Lords gang, will appear in bond court Thursday in Maywood, police said.
