Tuesday night was a special night as the Museum of Broadcast Communications finally opened at State and Kinzie Streets, honoring Oak Park native and TV legend, Betty White.
The 90-year-young actress was joined by longtime broadcaster and newsman Hugh Downs and actor John Mahoney. The three were the star attractions at the gala, celebrating the museum's long-delayed opening, due to a $6 million hang-up of Illinois state funding.
Considering White is known for her frequent use of risqué humor - FOX Chicago's Bill Zwecker had to ask where that comes from.
The Museum of Broadcast Communications will officially open to the public after the ribbon-cutting Wednesday morning.
