Chicago Police are asking for the public's help finding a man who robbed at least six stores during a 16-day period last month on the South Side.
The man enters the store between 4:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., hands the cashier a note then pulls out a handgun and demands money, according to a community alert from Area South detectives. After taking the money he flees on foot.
The six robberies happened between May 9 and May 25 at stores across the South Side, police said.
The suspect is described as a 17- to 25-year-old black man between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-10 and weighing 150 to 160 pounds, the alert said. He has been seen wearing diamond earrings in both ears, a black baseball cap, dark jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes.
Anyone with information should call Area South detectives at (312) 747-8273.
