A worker from the city's Water Dept. was stuck in a hole for a short time in the South Side Hyde Park neighborhood.
About 1:30 p.m., firefighters received a report of the worker being stuck in a trench at 54th Street and Maryland Avenue, Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford said.
The worker was out of the hole when firefighters arrived, Langford said.
He is being checked by a paramedics but appears to be in good condition.
