CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

An 86-year-old World War II Navy veteran was targeted and stalked in a violent robbery.

The veteran is talking about what happened, in hopes of finding the attackers. Video surveillance caught it all -- about two months ago -- in the Grand Crossing neighborhood.

One of the suspects can be seen on the phone, watching the victim make a bank transaction. The suspect is then seen at a currency exchange where he apparently followed the victim.

The victim is again seen arriving home with a livery driver. The suspect and another man follow him. Once inside the man's building, the two men are seen attacking the victim, putting him in a choke-hold. The attackers are seen taking off the victim's shoes where the veteran kept his money.

The attackers then leave the victim unconscious in a door-way before leaving. The victim's identity is being hidden, to protect him.

A police spokesman calls the crime "downright detestable." Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrests of the suspects.
