12 charged in Hickory Hills for selling,distributing untaxed cigarettes

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Federal officials say that millions of dollars worth of untaxed cigarettes were sold and distributed from a warehouse in Hickory Hills.

More than 12 people were charged in the sting, including a sheriff's officer.

Authorities say that for two years, starting in March of 2010, the defendants paid more than $20 million.

They bought more than 100 million cigarettes without paying any taxes.
