
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION AND PRUPOSE: Individuals will perform advanced machinist operations on CNC and manual mills, CNC and manual lathes and various other machine shop equipment as necessary to produce a quality product. They will support the Corporate Quality Policy and using TQM concepts, principles and tools, will make continuous improvements in the work process.
POSTION FUNCTIONS: Listed below are typical functions performed in this position. This description should not be construed to contain every function / responsibility that may be required to be performed by the individual in this position.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs complex set ups.
2. Setup CNC equipment, be able to edit complex CNC programs, optimize CNC machine time.
3. Diagnose, analyze and correct complex CNC programs and setups.
4. Knowledge of Mazak 5 axes and Mastercam software a plus.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma. Two years college technical training or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Five years minimum experience in a machine shop environment with emphasis on set ups and operations of mills, lathes, CNC equipment and CNC programming. Blueprint reading, trigonometry skills, the use of measuring instruments and machinist tools, set up and run complicated jobs on manual and CNC milling machines and lathes while holding + .002 tolerance.
Compensation: $25+ an hour.
