Cardiac Science develops, manufactures, and markets a family of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic cardiology devices and systems, including automated external defibrillators (AEDs), electrocardiograph devices (ECGs), cardiac stress systems and treadmills, Holter monitoring systems, hospital defibrillators, cardiac rehabilitation telemetry systems, and cardiology data management systems (informatics) that connect with hospital information (HIS), electronic medical record (EMR), and other information systems. Cardiac Science is the successor to the cardiac businesses that established the trusted Burdick®, HeartCentrix®, Powerheart®, and Quinton® brands.

V&V Engineer, CMD

As the Verification and Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating V&V plans, creating and executing protocols, requirements traceability and reports in accordance with company SOPs, project plan and product specifications.

Major Responsibilities include:

    Creates and maintains V&V plans
    Creates and maintains Test Protocols
    Executes formal testing
    Creates and maintains Traceability of Requirements
    Creates Test Reports and Test Data
    Manages ad-hoc testing during design and integration
    Provide written and verbal feedback to design engineers on test results
    Maintains good communication within the team, other groups involved in the project
    Assist in identifying risks and conducts risk mitigation testing
    Maintaining Defect logging and closure according to SOP
    Support Engineering activities throughout the product life cycle

Qualifications

    BS in a technical field
    3-5 years of experience in hands on verification in a Medical Product Development environment
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required
    Experience in creating technical documents, such as specification, test plans and test protocols is required
    Experience in testing Windows PC based applications is required
    Experience in testing electronic hardware is a required
    Experience in defining and configuring test environments including the use of VMs and / or web-based applications is desired
    Basic understanding of C or C++ and test automation is desired
    Experience with releases in multiple languages is a plus
    Familiar with ISO, AAMI and IEC standards for medical devices is a plus
