It was back to school for FOX 2 on Monday, all part of a program that pairs local businesses with Detroit Public Schools.
FOX 2 staff members spoke to some future broadcasters at Detroit's Communications and Media Arts High School. The lesson was all about video. Students got tips from veteran FOX 2 photographers.
The kids even got in front of the camera to practice their skills. (Click on the second video in the player to watch.)
For the students, it was a chance to get an inside look at the broadcast business.
"It's just been a wonderful opportunity because of the fact I love FOX 2, I watch it every night, particularly Andrea Isom or The Edge. So, I love just to work with so many people that I've always grew up watching," said student Akil Alvin.
"I really feel like I'm getting an inside look because me, personally, I really don't watch the news, but you guys coming here and adopting us and showing us exactly what you do is getting me more interested in the news field, broadcasting, everything that's going on," said student Christal Malone.
